Hi, first off I apologize if this is a dumb question. I keep reading and seeing articles where it talks about being able to use widgets in the lock screen. However, when I pull down on the screen when the phone is locked, all I see are notifications; I don't see any of my widgets or other information.

Is there a setting I'm missing or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Tap on the "Today" side. If you have apps that have widgets, you can show them.

    Scroll down to "edit"

Tap on a green widget option to add it on the screen.

The red ones will show on the screen.

Thanks but isn't that only available to see AFTER you unlock the device? I keep seeing things about using widgets in the lock screen itself.

It's the same thing. You pull the notification center down on the lock screen.

    Here's my lock screen :

No setting. When you pull your notification center down, you don't see both notifications and Today at the top? You should.

Yes, it is. Settings / Touch ID & Passcode. (Settings / Passcode if you have a phone or iPad without Touch ID.)

After you enter your passcode, toward the bottom, "Allow access when locked" - there is a setting for "Today".

I stand corrected. I forgot about that. Don't go there often.

I love the widgets. I have mine set like above and when I need to interact with one beyond just displaying info it asks to unlock
