Recently I have needed to block someone in my contacts from reaching out to me. So I go through the necessary steps to do so. Settings > Phone > blocked > Add new > Select contact done. But for some reason this person is still able to email me from the email address that clearly is on my block list. Does anyone know why that is? iphone 6s is what Im using btw

If you notice, that section reads "You will not receive phone calls, messages, or Facetime from people on the block list."

It doesn't have anything to do with email.

Your email provider, however, most likely has some filtering tools that will allow you to not receive emails from addresses that you specify. You should investigate those options.

There's an easier way to block unwanted calls/texts. See my guide here.

SwitchBeach is right, this option does not include emails. You can usually do this on your email client end, for example in gmail you can create a filter to handle emails. I have them to add labels, automatically archive or delete, etc. You can also do this with iCloud as your email.

Which email service do you use? We may be able to help you get it set up.
