It isn't supposed to be. If it was then Apple would be modifying the color of each pixel instead of the backlight. The whole point of the Night Shift mode (just like f.lux) is to actually change the light being emitted by the backlight.

Yeah, but the way I explained it above is the way it is designed, unless I'm mistaken. Using manual mode overrides what's set in scheduled mode - at least that's how it is on my iPhone.

Go for it, working like a champ and if you own the Apple watch third party complications are fixed, at least with watch beta 5.

All is back to normal with 3rd party notifications. Also the double notifications have stopped.

As I expected, it's working great so far. I do still have an issue with the night shift custom schedule.
