Why Apple removed this essential feature is beyond me - unless it's a bug. You can no longer remove unwanted email addresses from the email app (although you can still remove unwanted contacts from the messaging app). It makes no sense.

If anyone knows why this key feature was removed, or if you have a workaround, please post! For me this is a deal breaker and I'm downgrading to iOS 8.4.1

Maybe they thought it was not necessary? I have never used that feature in all my years with the iPhone.

Clearly I'm the only one in 13 gazillion users to use this feature!

I tired this and I didn't work. I noticed the removal of this feature rift away also. Before if I wanted to send an email to an address and then remove it from my recent contacts I was able to. Now it's gone and it's rather annoying, not sure why they did that. I'd love any more suggestions on to get that fixed. Hopefully with the next update they take that into account.

It just occurred to me that it won't be back. Apple uses those address for Siri and caller ID
