I don't like the Home Screen on top of the apps I want to switch to or close.

iOS 9 version. Much smoother and faster.

I voted I don't care. As long as my devices revolve around me, and not the other way around.

Hey, I just discovered how to activate split screen mode.

iOS 8 was cool but I'm leaning a little more to iOS 9. I'll get used to it.

Only thing that I don't like on iOS 9 is that the homescreen won't stay out the way.

I like the look of the iOS 9 task switcher better. But I don't see the need to close apps at all and I see so many of my friends do just that close everything out to make sure only the home screen is open. Defeats the purpose of multitasking in my mind.

I like both app switchers. My qualm is why do we still not have that much desired "Close all" one click option!?!
I would much rather have a clear all for the notification shade maybe with 3D Touch there will be like on the Watch.

    The Lannisters send their regards.

    8.

9 looks better, and I don't use the recent contact feature.
But the bigger cards in 9's switcher made it difficult to select the right apps.
At least in 8, the hitbox for each cards are bigger.

9 looks very good, however I am having a very hard time adjusting to swiping left to right compared to 8's right to left (finger direction, reverse for screen direction).

I also find it a bit harder to hit the app to force close on 9. Performance on the 6S feels more sluggish as well on 9's version compared to 8.

Overall I am happy with iOS 9, but the task switcher, which I use quite frequently is a bit of a pain. I don't really see it as an improvement other than the selected app being more visible. The rest seems like steps backwards from 8.

Yesterday I would've said 8... but after a day of getting used to it i'm leaning to 9... It's definitely smoother... faster... at first it seemed too crowded compared to 8...

I really hate the fact that it scrolls to the left...it just bothers me for some reason. If the new one scrolled to the right, I think it'd be fine for me, but because it scrolls to the left, I prefer the old version personally.

Can anyone tell me the difference between pulling down on the home screen and swiping left? It seems the same to me.

Pulling down on home screen to search will show you Siri suggested apps. Swiping right from 1st Home screen will in addition show you siri suggested apps, recent/favourite contacts, nearby suggestions
