After they release the beta 6, public will receive it 1 week later right? Then, will developer receive that public version on their iphone? What will happen to developer phone??

He GM is final release it may never get to the public. The public release and the GM will be the same unless major issues.

There won't be a beta 6. Next will be GM build. Once developers have that, and it goes public. Developers will have the same version. No need to update.

How about when version 9.0.1 come out to public? Does developer still get it as normal OTA update? Or developer will have to download psw file and flash it using psw file?

Developers will likely move on to the 9.1 beta cycle, which will be like every other beta cycle before it... point releases (as in X.0.1 etc...) typically never go into beta... they are just released to the public.

I am finding that I do have more free space under the iOS 9 beta. Not sure if that's due to App Thinning or just a lower profile build of the base OS or not. Etiher way, this is a somewhat less heralded, but certain to be very appreciated, feature.

Got this today when I woke up:

    iOS9 Developer Beta 5 now available-image.jpg

It's not an OTA update so I'm assuming we get this off the dev portal? The reason I say it's not OTA is because that's the 1st thing I checked and even after a restart it doesn't show up on either my iPhone or iPad.

I just got the same thing but I can't find anywhere that IOS 9 has been released? Can someone confirm. Maybe it was an error.

I'll say the same thing I said on another thread. It's probably not a glitch. Why? This beta is exactly one month old, beta builds don't usually run that long. We'll get the GM on the 9th.

I got the same message on my iPhone 6 Plus and would say they likely put GM on servers at ready for next week and it accidentally notified us as they prepared its delivery.

According to this chart, dev beta 5 is actually 32 days old today, so I suspect that you are on to something...

Yeah I checked on the dev portal, beta 5 was released on August 6th, the notification popped up in September 6th. I doubt it's a glitch.

    An anomaly then?

I doubt that as well. Betas rarely run for a month and usually expire after roughly 30 days. Which is where I presume the notification comes in play.

Didn't Apple last year a couple of days before the GM release a 'top up' beta due to a beta expiring too early

How are you in public beta 4? The latest is public beta 3 and dev beta 5.

Anyway, if there is no update available in settings, then you're already up to date
