I'm back to 8.3 for the time being.
I went back to 8.4, it's stable and runs good on my 6.

I've yet to run iOS 8.4. I may install it within the next few days until the second beta of iOS 9 is released...

Just use the direct link for the files. I'm assuming you have your uuid registered with someone because if you were a developer you'd know how to get the beta from Apple's Developer portal.

If I downgrade from IOS 9, can I restore to 8.4 although I never used 8.4 before?

Yes. But you may or may not have a compatible data backup.

Yeah I'm gonna have to roll back. I have background off, I took it off charger at 645 this morning and it's 12:30 and I'm at 68%. Not as bad as yesterday but nowhere what I was getting on 8.3.

I'm trying to stick it out because I really like it, ugh...

iOS 9 on my 5S was stable enough, but couldn't keep it on my daily phone as I needed for work. Back to 8.4.

iOS 9 on my 3rd Gen iPad is working wonderfully. No battery drain (on the contrary, I'm seeing improvements in holding a charge), no crashes of apps or the iPad itself and overall stable with no issues.

Not really crazy about the whole upper/lower case keyboard. I think I saw an option to enable/disable lower case somewhere in the settings; will have to double check on that.

It's definitely stable enough on my iPhone 6 Plus, minus the battery drain. The thing is, it would stay at 100% for quite a while, but when it starts dropping it, it drops quickly. If beta 2 fixes the battery issue, I will re-install it and keep it installed throughout the duration unless some serious problems arise.

    That's my experience.

Daily drivers: iPhone 6+/iPad Air for personal, Lollipop'd Nexus 5 as backup, LG Optimus G for work

I have went back to 8.3 and then back to iOS 9 beta one a few times. Can't help myself lol. But the battery drain is really bad. I was hoping that a couple of fresh installs would help, I read that it did in the developers forums but so far not helping.iOS 9.0 Developer beta 1-imageuploadedbyimore-forums1434129723.634491.jpg

An 8.3 backup will retore to 8.4 - a 9.0 won't... you can always use a backup from an os level that's down from the os level you're on...

Question to those who are running this. More curious than anything:

When you're playing a video, let's say something on WatchESPN, and you pull down notification center, does the video still pause? Or did they change it to where at least the audio is still going on in the background? Figured I'd ask since they seem to have implemented some different multi-tasking features.

    Thanks.

It still pauses the video. No audio while it's paused.

Ha I actually returned to 9 after downgrading yesterday and my drain isn't nearly as bad LOL although I did turn off quite a few things in location services.

The issue is likely cellular connection / mobile data related because iPads and iPod touches don't seem to have the same major drain issues as far as I've read.

Makes sense but sucks to have turn off cellular data just to save battery.
