iOS 9 Update size...

They kind of skimmed over it really quickly, but did I hear correctly that they optimized the size of iOS 9 below 2GB? That is freakin' incredible if they did.

That is damn amazing! Seriously...especially for people who have smaller capacity devices.

Hoping that it doesn't increase install time by too much. They either saved that space through some impressive compression, or a more space-efficient install routine.

Not exactly it just means that the OTA update is smaller giving you less resources to download and install it

But in apple website the way they have shown the storage space, it feels like they are talking about ios 9 taking 1.3gb of total apple device storage.

There's not as much on iOS 9 either. Not as much as 7 and 8. But still impressive at 1.3 gb. I won't have to delete stuff. I have 4.1 gb available on my 16 gb 5.



