Before upgrade to photos app, i used to be able to sync photos to my mac then bulk delete the files stored on the iphone using either Aperature or Image Scanner app. When attempting this in Photos the files are not deleted. Is there a new method of bulk deleting photos using the Mac OS X ?

Unless I'm misunderstanding you, can't you press Command + A while in the Photos app on your Mac to select all photos and then press the delete key?

    Have you tried using Finder?

On my Windows PC, I cannot use any deskside application to manage the photo storage on my iPhone, I have to do that via My Computer. I believe that maps to "Finder" on the Mac.
