Didn't experience iOS 7, I was still using Android at the time. I recently converted to the iPhone and iOS. I've had my iPhone for about two months, maybe a month and a half.

It's truly nice to have a device that gets timely software updates.
That's one of the biggest reasons I stayed with apple instead of Android too. The updates system on android was bs. Updates would have come out months before in America and I would still be waiting for them here in Australia

Exactly why my fianc jumped ship, waited months until her S5 received lollipop then it practically crippled her phone.

It was ridiculous and not only that but when the update would come out in Australia some telephone providers would already have the release date or have the update while others wouldn't know when it was coming to their providers

I did a wipe and restore as new. Have done this in a while so I figured what the heck. This thing is smoking fast now.

That is why I take the time to restore as new. The benefits, at least in my experience, have always been worth the time....

Well, this update is fine on my phone and itouch, but it has crippled my iPad. I did a full factory reset and it made it worse. I give up.
Which iPad model did you update?

Although 8.3 seems to have fixed a shortcuts crashing issue, it did not fix the problem many have with deleted shortcuts coming back after having been deleted. It's the reason I restored my phone as new last month. Restoring as new is the only thing that works to fix this problem.

Does anyone know how long it should take to see the full benefit of an update? For example the more reliable battery life that a lot of people were reporting from the beta?

Also how come in reports it stated that 8.3 would have a separate screenshots folder in pictures but there is none?

The benefits should be seen almost immediately, but definitely after the first full charge. That's been my experience, but that can vary from device to device. As for the screenshots folder, I don't know.

My theory, and it seems to be a common one, is that people tend to use their phones a lot more when a new update comes out.........draining the battery more.

Glad I didn't wait to update. Just noticed that it activated VOLTE through my carrier. My battery "seems" to be getting better mileage, but that might just be my imagination. I also am not really noticing any change in OS speed like some here are reporting. Still, it's a nice update so far.

The one thing that annoys me about the iPhone battery is from 100-50% I get about five hours but from 50-0% I get about three hours. I wish it was more consistent

I have updated my iPhone 6 Plus, wife's iPhone 6, my iPad Air 2, wife's iPad Air and the grandson's iPad Air - all OTA. Nary a glitch with any of them. Smooth, like buttah!

Exactly. When you get to 100%, it'll go longer. Then it seems to come down slow to 50%. Just like a fuel rank. 20% to 0 goes really fast.

Whatever it was was all fixed by morning, so I'm happy again. No idea exactly what happened, servers may have been crowded, I was told, but it's all ok now.

When I had my Samsung phones I never remember that being the case. The amount of time that my phone lasted was the same from 100-50% as it was from 50-0%. Sometimes even longer from 50-0%. This has been my only gripe between having an iPhone instead of an android phone. My very first day of having an iPhone my best friend told me to be careful because once the battery reached 20% my phone would soon be dead. I was like holy s***. I couldn't believe how fast the battery drained from 20-0. Other than this I prefer the iPhone more

I'm not saying you're wrong because all phones act differently, mine drains normal all the way to zero. Feels like when it hits 20%, it drains slower.

iPhone 5S and iPad Air both updated to iOS 8.3 via iTunes. Everything seems to work as well as it was on 8.1.3 (I skipped 8.2)

Battery life seems like it could be a little better... but too early to really judge. We'll see over a few charge/discharge cycles over the next week.

I had less than 500 MB of storage space left on my iPhone when I received the notification that iOS 8.3 is ready to be installed. After the update got installed I had around 1.3 GB storage space but I'm wondering if I had done the update via iTunes was there a chance of getting more storage space?
