Battery Life on 8.1

I did also notice a drop in usage. I was getting 6 hrs 30 mins when my plus got to 50% not now it's around 5 hrs when it reaches 50%.

Try doing a full drain -- using your phone 'til it shuts itself off. Then plug in and let it charge to 100%. That fixed mine; hopefully it has the same effect for you.

I'm happy enough with my battery on 8.1. This usage is a bit of mixture of wifi & LTE from a few days ago

I drained my battery not long after getting my new phone and noticed it had made my usage a little worse. Since I've not done it and that was about a month ago, so it's due another discharge and charge to 100%. I will give it a go.

This just worked for me.

Just finished with 1day 13hrs of standby, and 10hrs 15mins of usage.

Remember to completely discharge and recharge the battery every month. Doing the full recharge every day can lead to shortened battery life. I usually recharge my phone when it reaches between 35 and 60 percent battery remaining, and disconnect it when it is 100 percent.

After installing iOS 8.1, I definitely had worse battery life on my iphone 6. I waited a couple days and it didn't get better so I did a restore and it didn't solve the problem. A couple days ago, I turned off the notifications for Apple pay (in settings, each card has a setting for receiving notifications). Since then, my battery life is better than it was on 8.0.2.

I just got my 5S this past Wednesday and first thing I did was drain the battery till it shut down & then did a full 100% charge uninterrupted. My battery life has been very good, at least I feel like it is. This morning right before plugging in to charge I was at 17%, 6 hrs usage and 1day/16hrs stand by. I'm happy enough with those numbers!!

The battery life on my iP 5 seems have gone south. It's draining very fast. Went to bed at midnight with 100%. Woke at 6:00 am with 84%. I had DND on. Only 1 email was waiting when I opened the phone. It was bad yesterday. Updating to iOS 8 hurt just a tad. To 8.0.2 just a tad more. But 8.1 has been atrocious. I'm letting it run down to .5%. Then charge it to 100%+ without using it while charging. I don't know what else to do. I've checked all the usual suspects in settings. In 2.5 hours of constant use, I've gone from 84% to 53%.

Everyone uses their phone differently so battery life will vary per person and per phone.
