Messages app crashes

When I tap the camera icon in the messages app, the messages app crashes. Anyone else have this issue.

I killed the app and it still happens. I end up having to open the photos app, find the photo, copy it, then go back to messages app, and paste it in the message. Really annoying.

sorry I haven't experienced this- have you done a hard reset to see if that clears it up?

Yeah. It only happens on group messages.

This same issue is happening on my 6 plus. It appears to have started after installing 8.0.2. I've tried a hard reset / reboot and that doesn't fix the problem. Has anybody come up with a solution / fix? If I initiate a text from the photos app it works.

The same thing was happening to me. Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings fixed the problem.
