I'm having issues with the AppStore on ios 8. Updates are not working. Sometimes it will update and then pop up and says it needs the same update. I check the app and it didn't update.

    Anyone else having this issue?

No, all working fine here. Have you tried to power cycle your device?

Reboot, and if necessary, delete the app and then reinstall it...

Probably because lots of Apple servers are getting hammered right now. Just be patient.

Not seeing that issue... The NFL app update keeps failing on my Verizon iPhone... May be some quirks while there are loads of people trying to update things at the same time...

There is definitely an issue with the App Store, ios 8 and my iPhone 5s. For the last two days I have tried, with out luck, to log into the App Store by
    a) Settings > iTunes & App Store, the sign in area was greyed back so typing in info was not possible
    b) App Store > Updates, select "Update" nothing appeared asking me to log in and the circle just kept spinning.
    c) App Store > Updates > Purchased, select "Sign In" nothing happened

Yes I've reset the Wi-Fi Network, turned off Restrictions and rebooted the phone (many times and in various orders). Then today, for some reason with restrictions still turned off, I was finally able to sign into the App Store through Settings.

When I went to App Store > Updates selected "Update" at first it all seemed good unfortunately the circle has been spinning for going on 30 min now. I'll give it another 30 min then it's back to plan B, i.e. connect the phone to the laptop and update through iTunes.

UPDATE: With the installation of ios 8.0.2 I'm happy to report that on my iPhone 5s I can now
    a. update apps through the App Store
    b. make in-app purchases through individual apps

Now if only Apple would let me hide/delete my Apple ID when logged out -baby steps.
