Do you think that iOS 8 will be the last major update for A5 devices? My iPod Touch is running pretty fast on iOS 8 beta 1.

Unless Apple changes the iOS animations from being rendered on the CPU to the GPU on iOS 9 then iOS 8 will be the last update for A5 devices.

The reason I'm asking is because iOS 8 runs pretty smooth on my iPod Touch.

The iPod also got some features that the iPhone 4S didn't get in the iOS 7 update.

Yeah but on the plus side it will give me an excuse to update my mini to a new one.
