    The $99/year is probably a decent barrier to that. My guess would be 15% or so

    Agreed!! I don't think too many people will pay just to have a beta.

    9 million developers might not mean 9 million accounts, there are big companies that might have multiple developer groups working on different apps using the same account.

    True we don't know how Apple is counting them, but even in a big company each dev would have their own account. They would just be tied together into teams.
