Plug in Music app automatically begins playing

Plug in my lightning connector and the Music app automatically begins playing. And always the same tune.
I realize this is old school, however I have an after-market radio in my car. I listen to music and podcasts during my commute.
How do I turn this setting off so that I must turn on the app of choice?

It may be a function of the after market radio wanting to pick up on something it has stored as "where it left off"... check with the manufacturer of the aftermarket radio and see if they have a solution to your issue.
