Has anyone seen the shared links tap populated? Mine is empty, and I do follow people that share links- for example Renee.

Yep. Mine is always populated with tweets from the people I follow and who follow me via my primary Twitter account. Do you have Twitter configured natively in the device's settings? -- Settings>Twitter.

Thank you! I thought I had it set up correctly in the settings, and all looked ok even now- but when I clicked into my handle, lo and behold there was no password (and I had changed it recently). I don't see the shared links yet, but I probably will when someone posts one.

You're very welcome....Also, if you've configured Twitter via Settings>Twitter then your tweets should appear in Safari when you tap on the bookmark icon (next to last icon) at the bottom of the screen, and then tap on the @ symbol in the upper right corner. The people you follow who are sharing a link in their tweet will be displayed.
