Automatic app updates

Anyone else get apps that automatically update even with the option turned off? I don't get the notification that an app has been updated, instead I get a notification that their is an available update. When I go to update the app, it's downloaded and installed in a second. I think iOS is downloading the apps for a later install.

Is this bow it is supposed to work?

Nope. Sounds like your phone is just updating the app on its own. I have mine turned off and the app will not update unless I go there and do it manually.

It's annoying, especially on cellular. I'm also able to download any size app over cellular data.

That can't be right, unless your jailbroken there are tweaks to allow that but stock no.
