Does Disabling Spotlight Search Make iOS 7.1 More Faster?

I've heard this helps with iOS 7 so I'm sure 7.1 is the same. I never use it so I will try now and see. But then again I might not notice a difference with my 5s

Spotlight search is fine on my 4s. No lag.

Whether it speeds up the device, I cannot say, but I make it a habit of disabling certain things in the search option. For instance,

1. Music
2. Podcasts
3. Videos
4. Audiobooks
5. Voice Memos
6. Messages

I don't stockpile the above so there's no need for me to use the search function for them...

I don't believe that it slows down or hampers the speed of any OS since it sits dormant until you use it anyway.
