Need advice please help

I recently checked for the os7 update on my iphone 4 but realised that i had previously downloaded os 6.1.3 to my device but didnt install it now when i check for update its just showing me that i downloaded os6 and that i should install it, now wat i want to know is do i have to install os 6 before i see the os7 update or is there a way to reset that windows or to delete that os that was downloaded and im currently jb thanks i need help

Have you updated iTunes recently?
If not, that may be why you're not seeing iOS 7 as the current version.

OTA, I hadn't thought of that.

opeasy, are you trying to update wirelessly, or is your phone connected to a PC or Mac with iTunes installed and running?

I'm curious if it will work.
As I understand it, after the install, the device verifies itself with the Apple servers.
Because Apple is no longer signing iOS 6, I wonder what will happen?
If it's already downloaded to your device, maybe that will make a difference?

Why not just use a PC?
Create a back up so you can restore your apps, settings, pictures, contacts etc.
That way, if anything goes wrong, you can restore from back up later, and you won't lose anything.

Also, if you choose 'Set up as new' you should be able to skip installing iOS 6 and go right to 7.
Make sure iTunes on PC is current version, otherwise it won't see iOS 7 as being available for your device.
