So with 6.1.2 just around the corner... any good reason to upgrade to 6.1.1, or may as well hold off??

6.1.1 is/was an iPhone4S only thing... so if that's what you have, and have not updated - and are not having the issues dot-1 was said to correct, it's a toss-up...

6.1.1 is available for all iOS devices in the iOS beta center download page (developer.apple.com). Officially it's 4S only, but 6.1.1 in beta form is available for everything (including the 5)

We mere mortals only got 6.1.1 if we have the 4S... and from what I understand, what they're releasing as dot-2 is pretty much the same thing as dot-1 for everything but the 4S...

That's what I'm wondering, but it's looking like 6.1.1 "beta" will becoming 6.1.2...

there's some verbiage in the developer page about 6.1.1 beta being "renamed" in the next release... so i'm curious if it's one and the same... ie. 6.1.1 beta = 6.1.2 production ?

With 6.1 installed i see no battery drain. I unplug my ip5 about 2 hrs before I go to work. 9hrs of audio books and surf ( Flipboard, Facebook, Twitter, Safari) on breaks and before & after my 10 hrs shift. Typical for Mon through Thurs. 35-40% left by the time I get home at 2am.

Until a phone lasts 2 solid days I'll be charging nighty regardless.

Well I and many many others do, I didn't have this issue on 6.01, so there's a problem,.

Re: iOS 6.1.2 rumored for release - next week?

I'm Jailbroken on 6.1 and have no battery drain. Maybe time for a restore and set up as new?

Yea been there, done that, lost all my settings, game data, everything in the process, all for nothing. Started the second I updated to 6.1 so I restored and set up as new, battery life was still horrible. My old iPhone 4, jailbroken, with tweaks and themes galore gets better battery life, and it's never been set up as new, I've always restored from a back up.

My GS3 got better battery life, and that thing sucked, one of the big reasons I returned it for the 5.

I think there's a strange bug in 6.1 that only affects some people, no idea why. So much for "it just works"..

I'd like to see then fix some persistent bugs, specifically those associated with Cover Flow and keyboard shortcuts.

So far, battery life with 6.1.1 beta seems to be pretty good...
