OK, so this issue appears to be all over the place in Apple Communities (and elsewhere) and yet the Company has shown no apparent interest in fixing it -

I'm referring to the all-to-often inability for either my iPhone 4 or iPad 2 to pull up (either in a stand alone page or, more belabored, via the browser) the logon page to free or corporate wi-fi networks. Sites like Starbucks free wi-fi are a prime example. It was rarely an issue with iOS 5, but its become a big issue since I 'upgraded' to iOS 6. In fact, it seems to be getting worse. The ability to so effortlessly sign-on to these log-on pages was one of the primary reasons I moved to iPhone.

Folks online have suggested 'Renew Lease' from within Wi-fi (never worked), a hard reboot (sometimes works) and a myriad of other tries - but nothing that actually rectifies the situation.

Really, Apple? Could we possibly spend less time creating new, pointless iOS software and more time keeping your current software viable?
