Dismiss text from lock screen

Love my iPhone 5 but I really miss the jailbreak features like ipsum. Is there a way to dismiss text messaging from the lock screen?

I was afraid of that. Is that too much to ask for from Apple? Wonder what the reason is behind that?

Modify the Notification settings to not display the text info (or any other bothersome notifications) on the lockscreen.

Thank you for your advice, but I like them on the lock screen so when I get a text I can quickly see who it is from what they had to say, if it is not important, I just want to be able to tap to close it or swipe to close like the jailbreak features.
