Dumb question...is iTunes also getting updated?

It just got updated to 10.7, which you will need or iOS 6. The new iTunes is October. (assuming with the rumored iPad mini)

Anyone think 10.8.2 comes out today too? Would sure be a lot at once though.

As far as OS X 10.8.2, I say no. It brings Facebook integration and Apple said 'Fall' - and fall doesn't start until Friday...

You need iTunes 10.7 to download via iTunes. The refreshed iTunes will come out next month.

How do I do a clean install? Is it the same as just plugging the phone into iTunes and clicking the check for updates button? Sorry, this is my first time updating my iPhone as it came with 5.1.1 when I purchased it. (former Android user)

I doubt there will be a huge rush with the huge use of pre-orders. The iPhone 4 and 4S were all supposed to blow out commissions for VZW reps and as a former VZW rep that did not happen.

Yeah, Verizon hasn't had a history of major lines/sellouts so far. Hopefully this won't be the exception. But depends how limited the stock is...and going for white, I hope few people read that review re. possible wearing of the black iPhone!

I'm not understood how good speak to text on my iPhone 4S is.

There's a video on YouTube where you can find all the functionality that comes with speak to text on iOS.
