I have yet to charge my recharge my iPhone 5 and I don't plan on recharging it until the battery is less than 10%.

Yes, I do...(laughing)

I'm going to put it on the charger as soon as it gets to 10%, but here are the stats at the 16% mark.

This screenshot was taken moments ago and is the result of moderate use and not my usual moderate to heavy usage. I will still refrain from charging it until it gets down to 10%. This is from my iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.3.

i always wait till my batteries get really low by habit....some like to keep them tapped off constantly

is there a way to get notiified when you reach ten percent or is the default 20 warning your only option??

Unless I'm mistaken, I get a warning at both the 20% & 10% level. I'll try to pay closer attention to it later tonight if it reaches the aforementioned levels before bed time.
