just wondering I really don't see a need for it right now but maybe Apple has something up there sleeve that could use that kind of power. I would love for Apple to be the first quad core phone with lte..

Has there been any speculation as to what processor will be in the next iPhone? If there has been any "leaks" I have missed them..

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is quad core LTE. Not the US version, but it does exist.

There has been no indication of supporting more than two cores. I am willing to be that they will be running the same A5X processor, maybe just a different stepping.

IOS doesn't need quad core. More ram would be more important than quad core.

Dual core processor with quad core graphics. More RAM. And LTE + NFC. That's the iPhone 6. Coming next month.
