Shared calendar alerts

My husband and I have each other's calendars on our iPhones. Is there a way for me to turn off his calendar alerts on my phone and vice versatile without changing events on his phone? I need to see what he has going on, but dislike having his alerts going off on my phone. Any suggestions?

Nope it will turn them off on both.
