    I updated my Verizon IP4 last Thursday to 5.1. I did not do the 5.0 update as my phone was very stable and I wasn't too happy about the battery problems I heard of with it so I was coming from 4.3. On Monday the phone started having problems connecting to 3G and retrieving mail. If it fails to connect and I go into airplane mode and reconnect it works fine for awhile, and then it drops the signal again.

    I called Apple and the tech said it might be from the update. They have been getting some reports on this. He suggested a restore if it continues. I am of the opinion it is an old issue that was first present when Verizon got the iphone, and want to wait and see what comes out about this first.

    I read of someone on another board having this problem with two Verizon phones he updated. Has anyone here had this happen, and found a solution?

    I remember when we first got the phone on Verizon that some people had this issue. Anyone from that time that found a solution?

    Glad to hear that. Remember when we got the phones that some were having connectivity issues? I can't find the posts but it seems to me no one found an answer that they reported on.
