Voicemail issue

Hey everyone. My 4s has been treating me very well but I have had 1 issue the last couple weeks...my voicemail will not play. When I let a call go to voice mail I cannot get it to play by going to to voice mail through the phone app. It just started doing this a couple days ago. I can call Verizon's *86 and listen to it that way but no go the other route. When I select a message to play the little circle just keeps spinning off to the side. My wife's iPhone 4 has been doing the same thing off and on. Any ideas? Thanks

Call VZW and make sure your voicemail is provisioned correctly, if that's not the issue try a restore followed by a visit to a genius bar.

Yes, it sounds like a Vz set-up issue. I had some similar problems and called *611 from my iPhone. They fixed it, no problem.

I've had similar issues with voicemail on Sprint. Sometimes voicemail take minutes or hours to show up on phone but are there when I dial voicemail directly.

Also, erased vmails reappear sometimes.
