    If I remember correctly iOS 5 was designed for the 3GS, 4, and 4S.

    I agree with this.. most people had major problems after upgrading with a really slow phone etc

    Odd that - I upgraded my 3G to iOS 4 but never spotted any slowdown except when playing any games.

    4.2.1 was the last update that the 3G got. No more OS updates.

    I agree with this.. most people had major problems after upgrading with a really slow phone etc
    +1 i hated how slow my phone got have to write updated. Before the update, my iPhone 3G was great. This was big reason for me to get the new iPhone now.
