i know verizons old 4.2.10 and at&t 4.3 or whatever the lastest software at&t had before the new software update came out were a little different but with the new software (5.0) on both networks now are they the exact same for both carriers or are there still little differences?

iOS 5.0 is exactly that. Everything is now unified. If there was a difference is software it would be shown by the version number i.e. 5.0.1 maybe.

So if the numbers of the software are exactly the same the phones are identical? So all the iphone4s are exactly the same no matter what service you have?
