Verifying iPhone restore with apple

After getting the 3200 error 10 times or so I'm now stuck in "Verifying iPhone restore with apple" and have been there for about 2 hours. Any ideas on how i can get out of it?

Give it a couple hours. Try again after that.

itunes wont let me close it and I'm not sure what to do. should I just leave it and plug it in? My laptop needs to restart also, if I do that what will happen to the phone?

i know it sounds real basic and you've probably already tried it but try using a different USB port on your computer. That worked for me.

To answer your question, just remove the usb from your phone. It's already in restore mode. It won't hurt a thing. I've done it over and over trying to restart the update hoping for it to load with no luck.
