Does not exist. Are you new to iOS?

The YouTube player decides automatically based on network speed. If you're on WiFi, it will play videos in full 720p HD (when available). If you're on 3G, they will be compressed. If you're on Edge, well, that'll be good old fashioned gargle-tube.

I stopped using the app a year ago and started using the HTML 5 site.

I just to to youtube.com......which redirects to m.youtube.com and always choose HQ when playing a video. It always works.

You could also jailbreak and install My3G which tricks the phone into thinking your on WiFi when your actually on 3G. This removes the 20mb iTunes download limit, gets HQ YouTube videos, and Facetime over 3G etc....

Yes im aware with all that jailbreak, network and m.youtube.com, but with the 200+ features in ios 5, the settings to set youtube to play hq playback is included. Maybe you guys should read what i post again.
