Photo albums in IOS 5

I saw a thread from when beta 1 was out that said that photo album handling would be more robust in the new OS. In beta 5 is it now possible to create albums on the phone, and move photos between albums?

I created one once and couldn't figure out what happened to it. It seemed vaguely pointless.
