Should I ( shhhhhh
) plead guilty to having an iPhone active when at relatively low altitude aboard an aircraft and receiving cell data & SMS. At cruising altitudes the 'problems with onboard aircraft navigation & communication systems' are finally slowly being put into perspective as maybe relating to old analog 'thisses & thatses'. BUT the normal consequence is simply 'no signal' when high -above about 10,000 Ft ( battery goes down quick because of phone searching) and 'no signal' down to about 2 or 3 thousand Ft, which is an anomaly as its 'too many signals' as one has a 'high antenna site'
But as long as you ( for the sake of the lawyers) are 'on the ground' and have cell coverage, altitude ( should I use the word 'elevation' instead
) should not affect anything adversely.
