Anyone else really dislike the FaceTime interface on iOS 12? Switching the camera back and forth now requires an extra step that includes calling up a menu that takes over the entire screen. In addition to that, trying to get the menu to go away always requires numerous attempts on my X.

Anyone else not too fond of the UI for FaceTime on iOS 12?

Agreed. The simplicity of the UI is gone.

I don’t really FaceTime much so I really haven’t noticed.

I don't use it at all so no love lost there.

Apple may be aware of the Facetime issues. They removed Group Facetime from iOS 12 beta, and will add it in later.

I use FaceTime ALL the time. It's literally the only way I talk to the majority of my family who use iPhones. We don't really do traditional phone calls at all anymore since I migrated most of them to iOS. Some of the features they integrated are alright and I'm really excited for Group Facetime but the UI is horrible.

That's the Group Facetime feature though. Haven't seen much indication that says they are considering changes to the UI. But I hope so.

I use FaceTime a lot but I tend to use it on whatever iPhone is in my hand at the time. Since I haven’t noticed any differences, I’m going to assume I must be on my iPhone 8 running iOS 11.4. I’ll have to make a conscious effort to use my X running the beta and let you know what I think. I’m pretty sure I’ll agree. The FaceTime UI, as it is in iOS 11, is pretty simple.

I would think they see what you see. If it's that bad, surely they'll fix it. Their family members probably see it too. Did you report it in the feedback app?

    Agreed!

Been using facetime for years no regrets whatsoever, until ios 12 that is, where they’ve really messed up the interface!

    So not like Apple!
