Mine is still a option but up top it used to say T-mobile WiFi now it only says Tmobile and I tried a call and it wouldn’t do it over WiFi. Reset phone and still nothing weird

so what's the deal with WiFi calling? I dont get it...

For people who may have weak cell phone signal at home or at the office. The calls run through WiFi so you can have weak signal but your calls don’t break up or drop. Generally the calls are crystal clear

I do have a weak signal at home, so WiFi calling is great. And when you are traveling internationally, you can use WiFi calling and your home carrier will not charge expensive roaming fees.

Good point. I have full bars at home but I still keep WiFi calling on. When I go to my parents, my signal fluctuates between 1-2 bars so WiFi falling is great. So I just keep it on as default. It doesn’t hurt. It just benefits.

WiFi calling isn't an option you can choose to use at any time. I have it on my 6s Plus. If my cellular signal goes above -110, say to -105, then wifi calling is not used. It only is used when the cellular signal is weak. That's what it's for. So if you don't see it in your status, then maybe your cellular signal is better on iOS 11.3.

The feature is still there but I don't use it as our wireless at work is horrible.
