Siri not working with Virgin Mobile purple sim

Just moved from EE to virgin mobile UK, was told I needed a 2nd sim as VM piggy back on EE and the original sim they sent would not allow me to transfer my number. Now Siri not working when using mobile data, wifi is fine.

Factory restore as a new phone didn't fix it. Selecting 2G, then rebooting, then selecting 4G and rebooting didn't work as requested by VM tech support.

VM forum states they know they is a problem and are trying to fix it, but they are not saying what the issue is.

Thinking of leaving.

Siri will only work in good signal area and needs a good 3 g signal or above otherwise it tells you to try later . I don’t know if it is the same with virgin though ,

If you have a strong WiFi connection, disable your cellular connection while on WiFi and test Siri. If she isn't working for you then contact Apple and make an appointment with the Genius Bar.
