I’m confused about this. 11.2.1 just released today but the beta is 11.2.5? What happened to .2, .3, and .4?

So, this is just a complete guess, but I'm betting that Apple originally intended 11.2 to be released with the HomePod. When that was delayed and they had to push 11.2 after the December 2 notification bug, they decided to reserve 11.2.5 for the HomePod release instead (because I am guessing that they already have plans for 11.3) and 11.2.1, 11.2.2, 11.2.3, and 11.2.4 would be used for any security or emergency patches necessary until 11.2.5 (and the HomePod) is ready.

So, yeah, I'm also guessing that the HomePod release is real soon now.

Yeah maybe. But reserve 3 versions for emergency patches?

I don't think that they were necessarily reserving that many. I just think that 11.2.5 sounds more like a function-adding release number than 11.2.3 or 11.2.4, being halfway between 11.2 and 11.3, and it gives Apple more than enough room to wait on that release if they have to patch 11.2.1 for some reason. And with iOS 11, it sure seems like they've needed more patch versions like that.

Again, just a complete and total guess.

So I picked up an iPhone X to try this beta on. Face ID unlock animation is definitely, slightly faster along with animations. I’m pleasantly surprised but not that surprised seeing as Apple usually gets their stuff together with new products.

If you mean iCloud Music Library, I still have it. It’s still in the settings and all of my music is readily available to me.

Maybe I need to do a fresh install.

In previous iOS/betas you could see your data usage in Settings/Carrier. Im not seeing that anymore and not sure where it’s moved to. Or has it been removed?

That’s a feature that’s carrier specific. My carrier doesn’t support that, yet.
It could be a bug that Apple has to fix or something else that your carrier has to fix.

Try Reset All Settings.

Go to Settings >General >Reset >Reset All Settings. This resets to default everything in Settings, including notifications, alerts, brightness, and clock settings like wake up alarms.

It’s there you need to scroll. I see it on your screenshot.

Edit: unless the one screenshot is a stock image. What’s below where your screenshot is now? Can you scroll more?

Yeah it was off of Apples website. And of course now that I say something about it, it shows up. I did T-Mobile about it. Not sure if it can be pushed OTA by them, or my phone was just lagging.

Just a PSA to those of you coming across this thread: Resetting network settings will also erase all your saved WiFi logins from your iCloud Keychain which means you’ll have to login again on all your devices.

I learned this the hard way.
