My folders randomly turn pink after the update. Verizon iPhone 7 256gb

Just updated thru iTunes on the Mac. As usual took a whole 5/10 mins start to finish and everything is fine.

Just downloaded and installed on my 7 Plus... probably not much there for non-X iPhones.... probably not worth the hassle

So I went in and reset the wallpaper and the problem went away. Weird

Updated the 8 plus anyway. Always do it with the updates.

Yeah when I saw your post I thought it was very weird lol. But glad you got it solved

When I was looking more closely at things, I noticed that the folders that weren't pink where transparent which reminded me of that folder hack using special wallpapers. Figured it was worth a try.

It doesn't look like there is one. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208282

iOS 11.1.2 includes the security content of iOS 11.1

(11.1.1 said the same thing - it included the security content of 11.1).
