iOS 11.0.3 viewing videos in photos

After switching to 11.0.3 (iPhone 7) I can no longer double tap the videos slide bar to pause a video. I liked this because it allowed me to do a screen capture. Yes, I know I can tap and hold but as soon as I let go the video continues playing. Is this double tap feature lost forever?

Good question, but I don't recall ever pausing a video in that manner. Still, when I tried moments ago, it didn't work so I assume that feature is lost. By the way, I'm running iOS 11.2 dev beta 1 on an iPhone 8.
