Thought I'd pass along that my new 128GB iPhone SE from Verizon I received yesterday shipped with iOS 11.0.1.

My current 64GB SE is still running 10.3.3, so I decided to try restoring my 10.3.3 backup to the new device and test both in parallel to see if there was any issues with battery drain (which was my main concern from other reports on the web).

So far I would say no problems with 11.0.3. The upgrade finished last night and I kept the 11.0.3 and 10.3.3 devices on a charger overnight. This morning I played around with both devices, clicking the same buttons, browsing to the same sights and letting both receive push notifications from my apps.

After a half day, the 11.0.3 128GB SE (which I have running cellular service) is at 79% and the 10.3.3 64GB SE (which is just running Wi-Fi) is at 81%.

Considering this is less than a day with the new OS I'd expect this is worst case for battery drain, so I'm feeling confident I will keep reasonably the same battery life with 11.0.3 and hope things may improve with subsequent updates.

What I did not like 11 is that some of my applications that I most often use did not work anymore. Is i got lucky and located a IPad Pro 12.9 256 GB in which I was looking for anyways. The ipad came with 10.1. Which is perfect. Cost was only 497.99. Last year i purchased the iPad that i am using now it is iPad Pro 12.9 128gb for 750.00. Keeping 128gb though.

Weird... it’s 10/22 and I never got a notification about 11.0.3 despite it coming out almost 2 weeks ago. I only randomly decided to check for updates today. Then came her only to find out it’s been out for a while.

EDIT: in fact I’m still on 11.0.1... never got notification for 11.0.2... WTF

Bluetooth issues with 11.0.3
I have begun having BT issues with my headsets randomly disconnecting from my iPhone 8 plus during calls. This is a first for me. Is anyone else seeing this?

My wife’s iPhone 7 has been having problems sending texts with and without pictures an to other lPhones and non-iPhones. With the pictures I turned off HDR and Live Picture but she still couldn’t send a picture via a text message from the picture app.

Today she couldn’t send a plain text message. I found in settings - cell data was turned off. So I turned it back on and reset network settings. This fixed the problem sending a plain text message. Now I’ll try sending a picture from the photos app and I hope that solves all of the problems.
