I'm not sure if I'm imagining it or just seeing an optical illusion that was always there but since the update various icons like Google Inbox, Messages, Tapatalk, Safari, and others that have white on them the white seems yellowish. If I go into an app that has a lot of white in it I don't notice it there. I've played with the brightness and night shift is currently disabled (I know what the night shift effect looks like). I just didn't remember them looking like that in 11.0 or 10.3.3 and I sort of noticed it right after the reboot after 11.0.1 installed. I know when you placed colors next to each other it can make each look different so maybe I'm just seeing an optical illusion and never noticed it before?

Does your device have True Tone? iPad Pro or iPhone 8? If so, disable true tone in the display and brightness settings.

After some more playing around I think it might be more of a visual illusion. I changed my wallpaper earlier in the week as well to a very light one vs a very dark one and when I tested changing it back it became less noticeable. Not sure why I didn't notice it until right after the 11.0.1 update.

This update killed my battery. When I went to sleep my battery was at 100%. When I woke up it was at 13%. When I went to use it, it shut off at 13% and I put it on the charger and was still at 13%. It completely ruined the battery. I have an iPhone 7.

I had to restore as new my 7+ in iTunes. After so many betas. Something got messed up. Starting over has helped me greatly.

All of this crap is why I wait a few months before I install new OSes. On anything. 11.0.3, 11.0.4, whatever. It will stabilize at some point. I am in no hurry, everything is running fine now on 10.3.3.

Doesn’t that little red dot with the ”1” on the settings app icon do your head in though? It does mine!

I've always updated to the latest iOS except for this time around. I'm glad I waited. 10.3.3 is running just fine for me. I'll wait for some of the bugs to be worked out.
