I wish Apple would add two clicks of the power button to get into the camera quickly regardless if the phone is locked or unlocked.

I like that about my android phones. Would you use this feature?

Maybe, but I can’t say for certain. Right now, I’m used to either swiping left from the lock screen or going into the Camera app while at my lock screen.

i just like the double click because it's so much quicker. Really helps me capture moments with my dog.

I agree, would be nice to have this. I loved the long press of the Windows Phone camera button and the double click on my pixel power button for this. I am still adjusting to the swipe from lockscreen.

Would be nice. It's hard to capture a jack Russell terrier on "film". Lol.

The power button already has multiple functions:
On/off, dismiss a call, calling Emergency number, showing the medical info and such.
Adding a double tap will only complicate the functionality of that button more.
As you know, complicating stuff goes against everything what Apple stands for.

If you can find a better solution, let them now via https://www.apple.com/feedback/#mn_p.

Not sure how that's hard to remember but ok.

Thanks for posting this again. It's one of my favourites.

On (that's 1 function)
off (2 functions)
dismiss a call (3)
calling Emergency number (4)
showing the medical info (5)
and such (6+).

As you know, complicating stuff goes against everything what Apple stands for.

Ha ha ha ha!

Ha ha ha ha!

If you think that’s complicated, then I don’t have anything else to say to you.
I stand by my previous post.
Stop badgering people in this forum and send a https://www.apple.com/feedback/#mn_p feedback to Apple.
Nobody, and I really mean nobody here can make what you want happen.

Feel free to start a petition on the various petition platforms on the internet. Maybe you’ll get your wish and the iPhone something something will get it someday.

You are saying that a button with six functions (and maybe more) is not complicated?
You are also saying that adding a seventh (or maybe eighth, etc) function would be an unnecessary complication?

Stop badgering people in this forum and send a https://www.apple.com/feedback/#mn_p feedback to Apple.

Why do you assume that I didn't give feedback to Apple already? I already told you that I might have done.
And why are you badgering people for supporting a request from someone else for a clearly rather popular feature? We are testing out the idea out by discussing it - that's the point of these forums, right?

Now, let's get back on topic. So far, the only arguments against are:
1. I don't want it. Fair enough, but people who don't want to use it don't have to. I don't personally use every feature of my phone, but I'm not asking for any to be dropped.
2. It's unnecessarily complicated, which I think we have disproved above.
Any more?
