Plug in via lightning connector. Power + home, release power button, continue home button. iTunes pops up about being in recovery mode. That is DFU mode, correct?

I think it's the reverse. Hold power and home (or volume down on iPhone 7) 10 seconds, then release Home or Volume down, and then you're in DFU. Screen will be dark.

I downgraded from 11 to 10.3.3 successfully. I'm trying to restore from the backup I made. When I select the backup I want to restore, what password is it asking for? I've tried every password I've ever used and it keep saying it's wrong.

Likely the password for the encrypted backup in iTunes. This was set when you had iTunes do a full / encrypted backup.

Were you on the Public Beta or the developer profile? I am getting more and more tempted as there are a number of issues with this developer 2/public beta release.

I was on the public beta (beta 2). I have a friend who has the developer profile and iOS 11 on beta 1, and he has no issues with it. Maybe it's just an issue with beta 2?
