    Folks,

Every time there is a new major OS bump like this we have devices that go out of support. SO what devices do you all think will be supported under OS11? iPhone 6 forward? Anything else? What iPads? What iPod Touch generations? Any good rumors out there?

I'm hoping Apple is as far reaching as they've been in the past little while. The fact that my iPad 4 is still relatively current makes me hopeful that any device with 64bit architecture will be supported.

I can't see any reason why that wouldn't be the case, so hopefully even those with the 5s can still get a taste of 11!

I'm hoping the 5C get s this update, if it does, it's likely the last of them for it. I need to upgrade to a newer model one day, when i can afford it.

The 5c would be a stretch and even if it's supported the lag wouldn't be worth it

    Most probably 5S and above.
    4S stopped at 9.3.5 so I wouldn't be surprised.

Im thinking the 6 and above should get the update, anything else would be a horror story to use.

I think we can say for sure that the iPhone 6 will be safe to get the update. I know it will be 4 years old by the time the next one gets launched but Apple did go 4 years back with IOS 10. 😃

Also, the SE should receive some IOS 11 love. Who knows, even the 5s might get it. Probably a low chance, but maybe?

Probably all that support 64 bit.

seems Apple bring out alot of new IOS updates , why ? are there any major differences btw 10 and 11 for example ? are there big advantages between each update ?

I would say obviously all iPad Pro models, The iPad (2017) , iPad Mini 3 & 4 and iPad Air 2 are all safe bets. 😃

If this update comes for all devices on 64bit systems, then the iPad Mini 2 and iPad Air will make the cut.

That's correct. 😃 it does say '5th generation' below but I think iPad 2017 would have made things a little clearer or maybe put '5th generation' on the same level.
