This might be a stupid question but if your texting one of your friends overseas & they have a iPhone is it free if it appears as a Blue bubble

Anytime you are using iMessage it uses data so you should not incur SMS charges from your vendor. It does not matter where the sender and recipient are located. However, since you are using data lots of pictures and videos could cause overage charges if that applies on your cell phone plan.

Well, iMessages (when they are “blue bubbles”) can also be sent and received with WiFi. It only uses mobile data if you are not connected to WiFi but to mobile data instead.
