Since this an Apple forum I can only assume your answers are going to be skewed toward iOS. I'm no exception. I prefer iOS because it's dependable, it runs smoothly, has awesome apps, and has great hardware and software support, among other things. Furthermore, I'm highly invested in the Apple ecosystem. Most of my colleagues and clients have iPhones.

    I work in finance.

I use an iPhone primarily for one reason and that's family. They all have iPhones. Don't get me wrong I really like my 7 Plus. But I'd still be using a Note 4 or 5 (7 if it were around) if it wasn't for family.

I use all Windows/Microsoft products at work and mostly Google products personally. I have never and probably never will own a Mac.

I agree with everyone that iOS is very smooth most of the time. I've had the same experience with android for the last 2-3 years though. I don't have any more issues running a Samsung or LG or Moto device than I do an iPhone.

Buying a Mac just doesn't make sense for me from a business perspective. Windows does everything I need and does it well especially on Windows 10.

I can use iOS, Windows and Google products all at the same time and really have zero issues. Microsoft and Google play nice with Apple. It doesn't work the other way around. Apple will never play well with others. It's not what they do. Either you conform or you don't. They don't care.

I wonder how people use their iPad Pro for business. How can it replace Windows laptop?

Working with files on iOS is too annoying. On Windows 10 it's much faster and easier to work with them and especially to work with texts and data in MS Office.

Depends on your business. We use a combination of Windows PCs and Surface tablets, and iOS devices (iPhone and iPads) no Windows phones. Some people have Androids as personal devices. But all our Enterprise mobile devices are iOS.

I don't know about your field, but many businesses also have custom apps built specifically for their needs. That can be done on any platform, of course, but it's cheaper to choose one platform to support, and iOS is often the winner.

Well, I am working in the sphere of science and governance. I am using MS Office, Acrobat DC, Browser and Outlook 10 hours a day. No special apps. All of my colleagues use Win10 at work.

It's not difficult to use Windows 10 for your desktop and use iOS for mobile. I do it quite easily. I've used windows mobile, blackberry and android in addition to iOS and I think iOS actually works the best with Windows out of all of them. The apps are actually better on iOS than any other platform including their own windows mobile or whatever they are calling it these days.

I see no reason iOS or Android couldn't work for you. In my workplace, we routinely use MS Office, Outlook, MS Dynamics AX, AutoCAD, Accubid, Skype, Signal messenger, Desktop Authority... a few proprietary programs... and the combo of Windows PCs and iOS devices handles everything we can throw at it.

I do enterprise IT admin so I use all the platforms. My personal choice is Apple mobile because of software applications that were for an iPhone first or exclusively and because of the way it's so integrated with the MacBooks I use and my watch. Even if I'm running a Windows VM doing something UNIX as a guest OS the host OS has the messaging, copy/paste, AirDrop etc....

Every so often I change but the second generation 12" MacBook and dual camera 7 Plus keep me where I am. Both are sort of dreams come true for my work and personal interests - a do the most with carrying the least.

Our organisation (can you guess who that might be ? ) use BES12 and SOTI as its MDMs and a mixture of Android for the masses and iOS for the important people.

Both have their pros and cons but Android does allow us to have custom apps which in our line of work is essential for more robust mobile working.

As far as serious work goes we have Windows laptops including Surface Pros but purely because they link to our specialist software which doesn't work with macOS, iOS or Android.
