On my iPhone 7 Plus there is no noteworthy increase/decrease in battery life.

My phone was in the beta programme but was removed to diagnose a battery issue and put back to ordinary iOS.

I've read with interest reports of saved space with this beta. As someone with a 16GB phone space is of a premium. Is this space saving something most people have seen? If so I'll enroll my phone back in again

Everyone will see it. No exceptions. Apple implemented their newly redesigned file system that takes up less local storage space.

Wow I just checked my 16gb iPad mini, I was hitting the ceiling of the storage pre update. When I checked now I have over 4gb of space now! Thank you Apple!

I managed to install it on my iPhone and saw a benefit. Can't sign in to the same Apple website on my iPad though so that's not done yet.

So far, I have not really noticed anything bad about it. Gained some space, battery seems about the same after a day to settle in so I would say give it a shot. Just make sure you archive a backup in case things don't go as smoothly for you.

So with smaller file allocation units we have less slack.
I know with FAT32 when converted to NTFS in XP (remember THOSE days?) the cluster size was 512 bytes (1/2KB) which was great for reducing slack but had bad i/o performance. Don't know if that's the case here or if it even matters with nvme having much higher iOPS than mechanical drives, etc.

Less slack is always welcome especially when space is tight on our mobiles, that's for sure!

I hope Apple releases the 10.3 Beta 2 soon. I'm experiencing quite a few "bugs" with this current 10.3 Beta 1.

What are the bugs you're experiencing?

I'm experiencing a half screen on some apps, the app update badge is showing updates, but the Apple App Store says all apps are updated, the Assistive button is always at the top...a couple more. The next update will probably improve my findings.

Edit; this happens constantly...

It sounds like a restore is in order......Thankfully, I've yet to experience any of that stuff.

Oh I know. Just a little puzzling that 10.3 Beta 2 hasn't been released this week.
