My wife and I have repeated this problem a number of time with the native Calendar app. The invite feature does not work if a location is added or if a note is included in the invite. The invite is not delivered to the invitee. There is a 6 page thread on this issue on the apple.com forum. You can try sending an invite with and then without the location and you should see the issue. We have experienced this between iPhone to iPhone or to iPad and combinations thereof. Here is the link to a thread.

I've had issues where my wife gets the invite, but she has no options to accept, maybe, or decline. It just gives her the "ok" option. The event still goes on her shared Calendar though. But in mine, it shows "No Reply" from her.

We do not use a shared calendar. Shared calendars are also limited when serving up meetings outside your immediate "circle".

So no one else has experienced issues as I described above?

I've never had this issue, but I can see what a headache it would be.

OP, you might call Apple Support and see what they say.

I did. It was escalated from the initial person to second level who escalated it further. It is well documented per my link in a previous message above.

So it is safe to assume an update is forthcoming to fix the problem you are having with the Calendar invites. As for me, I send and accept calendar invites quite a bit and to this point, I've not run into any problems, thankfully.

It seems to be related to including locations in the invites. Don't know why.

If they are contacts, does their contact card include their address? May have nothing to do with it. But mine do, and I have no issues like that.

They may or may not, but that should have no effect. Appointments may be made with people not in the contact app and all type of locations.

I don't know it works best if all use iCloud calendars. If others use Google or other calendars it doesn't work well. I see a lot of complaints about that.

Has anyone had problems with the family calendar not linking up on other family member's calendars? Reminders as well perhaps? It shows on my wife's calendar app, but on both sides it's shown that no one is a part of it. I've talked with  support on Twitter, but they're clueless to the issue.
